We had a great experience with King Locksmith and Doors. They were professional, prompt, and knowledgeable from start to finish. They took the time to explain everything, completed the job efficiently, and made sure everything was working perfectly before they left. It’s clear they care about their customers and take pride in their work. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, honest, and high-quality locksmith service. Thank you again!
Big shout out to technician Vernon. I ran into an unexpected problem in changing the code on an older lock that I have successfully done a couple dozen times in the past 20 years. I called King Locksmith and they sent me Vernon. Although not familiar with my old lock, he had the expertise to find the info he needed to resolve my issue. Not only was he very competent, he has very good customer service manners and accepted my attempts to be helpful.
A neighbor recommended this company for trickier doors in an older house. Mightily impressed by Vernon, master locksmith, a new hire at King Locksmith and Doors, who was knowledgeable and personable. He was able to reinstall a lever and lock that had been removed by a handyman (who then could not figure out how to put it back in), and bring it back to full function, thereby securing a whole area of the house. Vernon also assessed other doors and locks that have been giving us trouble, outlining the process for repairing and replacing each. We will be using King Locksmith and Doors again, and requesting Vernon when we do!
Their professionalism and customer service is superb. This team will follow up regarding status of technician name and arrival times, delivery of parts ordered, etc. From the moment you call you are treated with respect and courtesy. They did an outstanding job.
King Locksmith and Doors did an amazing job installing my new screen door! The whole team was professional, on time, and very easy to work with. They helped me choose the right screen door for my home, and the installation came out perfect. Everything looks clean, fits great, and works smoothly. You can tell they really care about the quality of their work. I’m very happy with the results and would definitely use King Locksmith and Doors again for future projects!
King Locksmith never disappoints!!! I hired them for the second time after an amazing experience a few years ago. Hard to believe that they could improve, but their service — and their team — has only gotten better! From first contact on the phone (and I apologize for not remembering the name of the lovely, helpful woman I spoke with who arranged the serrvice call super promptly) to the actual service less than 24 hours later, King Locksmith is stellar!!! Vernon, the locksmith who performed the work at my house, was phenomenal. Not only did he address the problem with my lock, he went above and beyond devising an elegant solution to what could could have been a slap-dab job had it not been performed by a professional like Vernon. He is a true asset to the King Locksmith team! You’re lucky to have him! Highly recommend King Locksmith!
We couldn’t turn our knob inside or outside to enter or exit. King Locksmith saved the day on a Saturday no less🤗 This is the third time I’ve used them. They are definitely my go to for locksmiths in a lockout or if you just need to change the locks.
I had such a wonderful experience with King Locksmith and Doors Inc. This is the first time I’ve used their services, and they truly exceeded my expectations. My most recent project was a major storefront door repair after a burglary. The glass was broken, the lock was badly damaged, and the door was almost falling off the hinges. From the moment I contacted King Locksmith and Doors, they professionally walked me through the entire process and provided upfront pricing with no surprises. The very same day, they sent two skilled and professional technicians who completed the work efficiently and within the timeframe they promised. The replacement glass arrived within a week, and they returned exactly as scheduled to install it. They handled everything with great care, responsibility, and professionalism. What really stood out to me was how smooth and stress-free they made the entire process. Their communication, professionalism, and attention to detail gave me confidence from start to finish. I will definitely continue using their services for any door or lock issues in the future. Thank you very much to the entire team at King Locksmith and Doors Inc. for making everything simple and stress-free!
This is the 2nd time in a few years I have used King Locksmith. Always a great job in my experience. This time they repaired a bi-fold door that wouldn’t stay in its track. Technician came the same day and was able to fix it. So nice not to have the door wobbling around anymore.
Safes fail in predictable ways: worn wheel packs, drifting electronic locks, bolts that drag on a sagging door, hinges that groan under 800 pounds of steel. We correct the root cause, replace worn components with genuine parts and return your safe to its original rating. You keep the safe you paid for.
When a Group 2 dial skips numbers or feels loose, we rebuild the wheel pack and reset the combination on site.
Dead keypads and SecuRam or LaGard locks that drain batteries get swapped for new units in Montgomery County the same day.
Stripped handles, bent bolt bars and dragging active bolts are corrected so the door throws and retracts smoothly again.
A tripped relocker after a burglary attempt in Washington DC is reset properly, keeping your burglary rating and insurance intact.
Sagging doors on Fairfax County gun safes are realigned and hinges rebuilt, closing the door gap that invites pry attacks.
Cracked intumescent seals and damaged fireboard are replaced so a Class 350 record safe protects paper the way it should.
Don’t replace a quality safe because of a repairable failure. King Locksmith restores safe locks, bolts, hinges, and alignment with expert repairs and genuine parts. Call today for dependable Maryland safe service.
Every safe design fails differently, from gun safe boltwork to floor safe lids. Our technicians repair each type below to its original specification
Dial drift, bolt drag and broken handles are common on gun safes; we rebuild the boltwork and restore reliable access.
Jammed rotary hoppers and worn deposit locks are repaired on site so your nightly cash drops are never delayed.
L-30 jewelry safes with tripped glass relockers need a careful reset; we preserve the tool-resistant rating through every repair.
We replace failed intumescent seals and rebuild UL 72 door assemblies so your fire protection actually holds when tested.
Smart safes with failed time delay or audit trail modules are repaired in place to keep cash handling compliant.
Misaligned wall safe doors, loose stud anchors and dead keypad locks are corrected in place, leaving your drywall and framing untouched.
Corroded floor safe lids and misaligned wall safe doors are freed, cleaned and refitted without damaging the surrounding structure.
Your safe’s rating depends on specific parts working exactly as designed. UL 687 burglary classifications depend on intact hardplate and functional relockers, while UL 72 fire classifications depend on unbroken seals and intact fireboard and UL 768 lock groups depend on the correct lock body being installed and maintained.
Drill a hardplate in the wrong spot, or fit a Group 2 lock where a Group 1 belonged, and your insurer can deny a claim. We repair to original specification so the rating and the coverage survive.
A safe holds what you cannot afford to lose, so the person repairing it needs more than a drill and a guess. Here is what our safe technicians bring to every job across the DMV.
Property managers in Prince George’s County, law firms in Arlington County and homeowners across Washington DC have reviewed our safe work. They mention the same things: honest diagnosis, no pressure to replace and a safe that works when we leave.
Safe repair pricing should never surprise you after the fact. We inspect, explain what failed and give you a firm figure before touching a tool. If a part is needed, we show you the part and its cost together.
Our safe technicians are dispatched from within Maryland, Washington DC and Northern Virginia, not from a single depot. That local footprint is how we reach Loudoun County and Anne Arundel County in the same window as a downtown DC office.
Licensed, bonded and insured in Washington DC means damage during a repair is covered, not argued over. ALOA membership holds our ethics to a national standard. SAVTA membership keeps our safe training current. Local awards reflect how your neighbors judge us.
We are a Leading Door Hardware Brands Supplier in Washington DC, and our vans carry S&G, LaGard, SecuRam and Kaba Mas locks. Genuine parts keep your UL 768 lock group listing valid and fit without shimming, filing or improvised brackets.

The price of safe repair depends on what failed and what it takes to reach it. A worn dial lock on a home safe is a modest job. A tripped relocker inside a TRTL-30×6 jewelry safe, built to resist torch and tool attack from six sides, demands more time and skill. We tell you which situation you are in before we start, and the quote is free.

It depends on the lock type, the safe’s rating and how hard the failure is to reach. A dial rebuild costs far less than a relocker reset on a rated jewelry safe. Every job starts with a free written quote from King Locksmiths.
Most safes can be saved. Locks, handles, hinges and boltwork are all replaceable, and even a tripped relocker is repairable by a trained technician. Replacement only makes sense when the body itself is compromised. Let our safe division take a look first.
Not when it is done correctly. We restore hardplate, relockers and seals to the manufacturer’s specification and document the work, so your UL 687 or UL 72 listing stays valid. Ask us for the repair report to keep with your policy.
Yes, provided the door footprint matches, which it does on most modern safes. We fit S&G, LaGard or SecuRam electronic locks, add time delay or dual custody if you need it and retire the old dial. Book a lock upgrade consultation with us.
Usually the lock body inside the door has failed while the keypad is fine, or the boltwork is binding against a sagging door. Both are repairable without cutting. Have a King Locksmiths technician diagnose it before anyone drills.
Genuine S&G, LaGard and SecuRam parts carry the manufacturer’s warranty, and we stand behind our labor on every repair. If a repaired lock or bolt gives trouble afterward, we return and correct it. Your written quote spells out those terms.
